Dear Mirrog :— 1t was the goofl luck of
the writer to be present at the cloging of
Red Hill $ch'001§ Friday, March 25th, 1898.
‘here was a large crowd of friends and
patrons assembled to witness the clgsing pf .
the school. . = =
The exercises were beguu at o P. M.
with a song of welcome by the girld, and a
Salutatory address by little Miss Blanche
Thompson. Then followed recitatigns and
dialogues by the following childrénWayne

closing address by Johnuie Morris; Both

appropriate and | well recited. They were
entoyed by all prescnt. Also the good
singing that was given us by patrons and
friends of the school, -
Then thirteen books as prizes for atten-
dance were awarded by the G‘t:zmhfr. Miss
Fannie Watson, [to.the following children:

Rose Daniely Ethel Morris, Susie Daniel,
Mabel Thomas, Scottic Bgavers “Eva
Thompson, Johnpie Crim, Blanche Thpmp-

We then had an abundauce of leénmmdc
tiphe ichatting to! our fri nds and wishing
that both teacher and pu%uils wonld spend
a happy vacatiod, and then meet again at
Old Red Hitlnextfa l with bright faces and
light hearts to'spend another winteg.
