To THE LOUDOUN COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD:

The undersigned citizens residing in the section of the
County now served by the school in Philomont would respectfully

show that this school has been operated for a number of years

for the convenience and education of the children in that immed-

jate vicinity and at present is serving that vicinity as efficiently

as it has for some years.
There is a rumorthat Your Board is contemplating closing this

school and transporting the children to other schools which in the

opinion of the undersigned would work a hardship on the children,

the majority of whom are young and if they have to stand in the

r and wait for the transportation it would be a hardship
due to theilr

upon them and we believe many of these children,

station in life would be handicapped by criticism of other children

who are more fortunate and do not realize the surroundings of some

of the poorer children in the rural sections.

We respectfully request that you continue the school in

Philomont for we feel that it is to the best interest of the

children and patrons in that section.
