Opposes Six-
Period Proposal
On account of] the increase in
travel time for primary and
grade children if the length of
day is extended at Loudoun
high, the county education as-
sociation at its recent meeting
unanimously opposed a six-
period day.
An effort is being made- by
Loudoun high patrons to change
the schedule from five periods
to six periods.
The first motion was not to
extend the day. Before this mo-
tion was passed there was an
amendment asking for increased
compensation for teachers if the
day is extended.
This amended motion made

The Association was willing to
go along with the change at
Loudoun high from five to six
periods providing the cahnge
could be made without extend-
