SUBJECTT Teachers Sick Leave progran
lnle have tabulated all reports fron the countles and citj-es on account of
the Teachers Slck Leave Program for the J;953-52 school year, and find that total
expenditures anounted to #463rQ6L.56, The Staters share under the provisions
of the Appropriation Act (1950) r^las $203 1425.36. Ttre Legislature at its t95O
session appropriated.only $i,1e5r000, and iherefore, it was necessary to transfer
tlu.tYt. of #781425.36 from othbr funds. This was possible only through careful
administration and transfers from unexpended balances in other funds. The
attached tabulation will give you a brief hlstory of the fund slnce j-t was
established in 191r.8 and effective for the Lg4s-l+g school year.
