Item 194, $ection 5 of the Appropriation Act, passed at the 1952 session of the
General Assembly, authorizes the State Departmen t of Education to reimburse local
school boards for sick leave benefits paid in accor dance w"ith the St ate nlan.

In order that we may be in a pos ltion to rejmburse your county (or city) during
the current school yearr we are requesting that requisitions be subrnltted on the
enclosed forrn^s not later than June 15" 195L. Additional forms will be furnished
a

upon request.

It ui11 not be necessary to list the name of any substitute 'more than one time
unless paid at different rateso

Section 22-37 of the Code, as anended, does not require the approval of tltg
State Board. of Ed.ucation for the School Board supplement to the salary of the Division
Superintendent. Holrever, it does provide for State Board approval of the travel
aliowance. In order that our records may be complete, we w"iIl ask you to report the
salary and travel allowance as you have been doj.ng for the past several years.
