ANNUAL INFORMATION RETURN
SUMMARY OF REPORTS of income payments by a corporation, a partnership, an aasociation, or a
govcrnmental agency for the calendar year 1955, of $600 or more to a person residing in this State; alao
to each non-resident person to whom $600 or more was paid during the calendar year 1955, ae salary,
wagea, comrnissions, or other compensation for labor performed or services rendered in this State. Income
payments to a person reaiding in Virginia include all such payments regardless of whether the income was
earned in Virginia or without Virginia. Employers may, in lieu of preparing and filing Statc form 500-8, file
with the Department of Taxation a oopy of the Federal withholding receipt for 1955, provided the narne of
the payee as given includes firrt narne, middle initial and surname, and provided also full address including
street and number or rural route and name of county or city in which payee resides is inserted. Formr
500-A and 500-8 are for use also by payors of other cliasses of income, such as interest on notes, mortgages, etc., rents, etc.
