Lee Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy
In the spring of 1924 the Lee Chapter of the United Daughters of
the Confederacy
was organized
in Purcellville.
It had 14 members
at the time of its organization.
The meetings, to date, have been
very well attended.
The chapter has had the opportunity of bringing help to the few
remaining soldiers in Grey in the community of Purcellville.
It also
has done honor to others.
The chapter is working under very able
officers who feel that the organization is just preparing for bigger
things for the United Daughters
