Miss Florence Vaudeventer, age
35 years, daughter of Mr. Town-

Send H. Vandeventer. of Lees-
burg, died siiaenly at the Lioud-|
oun County Hospital, following
an operation for appendicitis.
Her death will come as a distinct
shock to her countless friends in
this community and in Washing-
ton where she had lived for the
past two years. Endowed with

Miss V andeventer came to Lees-
burg Thursday of last week to
visit relatives and became des-
perately ill early Friday morning.
She was immediately taken to the
Hospital where she undgrwent an
operation for appendicitls. It was
thought at the time that her re-
covery was only a question of
time. Buton Monday Peritonitis
set in and during the atternoon

her life ebbed out.
Besides her father the deceased

is survived by two sisters, Mrs.
Robert Emmett Funston, of St.
Louis, and Mrs- Anthony Dibrell,
of Leesburg, and by one brother,
Dr. Vivian Vandeventer, of Ish-
peming, Mich. She also leaves
one of the largest tamily connec-
tions in the county. 9

Funeral arrangements have not
peen made at this writing, and
will depend upon the arrival of
