In recent yesrs we have carried on a program of consolidestion
our white schools. If this progrem should be carried to 1ts
logical copclusion by the elimination of all one=room schools except
Sunny Ridge we shall need additional building space as follows:?
1. To csre for the five present classrooms at Arcola, McCraw's
Ridge, Carter, and Pleasant anley a new four-room building on a new
sibe near Arcola.
2, To care for the Taylorstown school at Lovettsville a ainglé
room galready built into the unit would have to be finished inside.
“@f the Mountville school should be taken to Middleburg additional
space would probably not be needed.,
Patrons from the Lincoln neighborhood have requested a new build-
ing on a new site there. This building is not in a suiteble conditlion
for housing 1ts enrollment. Itk has only stove heat and no water or
electric lighting facilities. The lot is unstdiable.
At Hillsboro we have a four-room elementary schools The building
is farily'300d but it lacks a central heating plant and indoor toilets.
At Waterford there is a good school plant most of which will be
needed indefinitely for élémfintary-ehildren. The school should have
an indoor sanitary system.
At the following schools fire escapes are necessary to up#?;fih‘”r
