TO: The School Board of Loudoun County.

We, the undersigned residents of the Mt. Gilead % <:(
District of Loudoun County, respectfully request that school ,
bus service be extended from its present end on Route 662

at the gate of the Loudoun Orchards, along Route 662 to its

junction with Route 728, thence along Route 728 to the

Joseph Y. Bailey farm, a distance of approximately 23 miles

from the Loudoun Orchards gate.

At the present time there are four children who
would be served by this extension, and whose parents now
transport them to school. By September 1951 two additional 5
children in the area will become of school age, making six
in all. As there are two homes being built along this route
jt is possible that the number may be greater.
