At your next meetling you will need to decide two important questions in
relation the UnisoneBloomfield schools » :
1.‘ %111 the school continue temporarily in the church or will puplls

be tékan this year to other schools?

2, W%Will & new btullding ve erected or will children be permanently trans-
ported to other schools?

I wish very definitely to be on record as recommending thet you arrange
permanently to transfer these children to other schools, namely Sluemont,
Middleburg, found Hill and Upperville.

If this should prove to be & misteke 1t could De corrected in 5, 10 or
20 years without financial loss. On the other hand, should you declde to
build and thils should prove itself to be s misteke it 1s likely to be a
$100,000 wmistake.

There is no guéstion of consolidation, or not, here, Ve already have
slakelev OGrove, Bloomfield, Lelthton end Unison Schools consolidated into
one unite It is proposed and seema nNecessary if we are to have & four
teacher unit (which is generally accepted &s the minimum gchool that should
be set up) that the ereas of the Mounteln, Trappe, Philomont and Mountville
schools be includeds Mut four of these elght units are definitely closer or
more accessivle to other schools and two others, Trappe end Leithton, are

almost s close to other schools.

At your meeting on Yecember 12 I hope to have worked out and set up the

best transportation scheme thet I can deviase for each of the proposalss
